It was a Saturday, a Saturday meant work, and a Saturday meant after work meeting up with Kuu, some time alone before they went home to see Emily and stuff. Though you know they tended to have quite a bit of time alone anyways with Emily being active in the school with track team and stuff. Josh didn’t mind, though surprisingly enough Emily and Josh got on quite well and were always scheming in some way or another behind kuu’s back just because of the fact any idea they would bring up to kuu would normally be turned down. Joshua noticed that riku lately seemed to catch on a bit more, but not often and the most he would get was ‘your up to something’ because he could never figure out what. It was always regarding him of course, and even though Josh was slow Kuu definitely beat him in that department. Actually it always took him quite a bit to catch onto things but Joshua never minded, probably because he had always been used to this and he found ways to use it against him. In a good way of course. Emily and Josh never had bad plans just plans that Kuu wouldn’t think to be good because it regarded him. Kuu really was so unselfish he didn’t even know how he did it, it was like if josh wasn’t around kuu probably wouldn’t take care of himself at all. He was always much more worried about tilly and Emily. Not that Joshua minded taking care of kuu, because it sort of made him also feel more at home that way and it also let him make sure he was taking care of himself.
Joshua had decided to get Kuu to meet him at the Japanese tea garden, which he actually quite loved to go to. It was one of the few places he didn’t mind which did get the fairly bit populated. This was probably because of the beauty of it and he loved just going there and taking pictures. Which was also why he had his camera with him, it hanging around its neck like always. He did have a case for it, and he did have it along with him he just very rarely had it in the case unless it was not being used, which lately wasn’t all that often. In the house basically. Even then he liked taking pictures there because it was so much more lively and full of laughter. Something he was slowly growing used to but at his home, with his uncle it hadn’t really been like that basically because of the certain dislike of him because he liked guys mainly and even though they knew it was completely different when he actually went as far as to tell his uncle that he loved another guy. He didn’t really like that at all which was why the whole abandonment/ shunning took place with his family. But Josh still hadn’t told kuu about that yet, because in a way he wasn’t exactly sure what he would do or how he would react. Josh knowing Kuu really as well as you could know him, this was a bit of a surprise for Josh not sure how kuu would act. But then it was even harder for josh just not to tell him. Though it could be known already, he just didn’t think that kuu was that good at picking up on those things. I mean they hadn’t lived together for that long of a time. Not even a year yet. Still they always seemed like a family.
Standing at the front of the main gate he waited for Kuu who normally ran in a bit later to the place they would meet up then he did just because of the fact that sometimes he got off work a bit early or Kuu had school a bit later, or he got sidetracked. Any of these things caused Josh to be early and Kuu to be late but Josh normally never had to wait too long. Having told Kuu that morning, and sent him a text of a reminder he doubted that kuu would forget they were to meet at the main gate of the Japanese tea garden. Or at least he hoped it wouldn’t happen that way. Then Josh never knew with Kuu there was always things that could distract him so easily and then something slipped his mind. Though when they were actually able to get alone Josh didn’t find he seemed to forget those days too often. Parking himself down n a grass spot just around the corner of the admission booth that was there he played with his camera a bit while he waited. A habit of his. When he didn’t have something to do he took pictures, fiddled around with the buttons on his camera or something. Josh wasn’t really an impatient person and you could say he would be the one to sit out in the rain waiting for someone who was over 2 hours late for when they were supposed to meet. That was always how josh had been, sometimes a little too trustworthy because of the fact that before, a lot of the people he would meet up with would blow him off. It used to hurt him a lot, now not so much because it was never truly people he cared about. The people he cared about being very few, and consisting of basically Kuu, Emily, and a few of his close friends.
Joshua`s favourite day was probably either Saturday or Sunday, especially since Joshua hated going to school through the week, he still had a few friends attending but a lot of them had been a year older then him and had moved on to college or something else so it was basically go to school and get out as quickly as he possibly could so that he could see kuu and other people when he got the chance. Being at school was just a bother in his opinion, though Joshua never did like school, he liked the photography aspect of school, what he learned from that class but that was basically it. Snapping a few pictures, taking his time to do so actually, where people gave him a few odd looks as well he brushed his fingers through his hair and turned off his camera. His battery was running a bit low and even though he did have extras with him he didn’t just want to waste the batteries now. Especially since he was only taking the pictures just so it would pass the time for kuu to come. He had been let off work a little early and though he stopped at home to change and everything he still was early. They didnt really get tons of time alone together, him and Riku, mainly because they were always home for dinner so that Emily had her dinner, and there wasn’t really much point going out after, especially since Joshua had homework, and Kuu had homework and Emily had homework, plus the kitty needed attention too. So it was days when they actually had the chance to meet out of being home that he liked most. Just because it was just a different change of environment. And Joshua had come to quite like change, even if he hated it at first anyways.

Saturdays were such a drag. Riku had to be up at five in the morning to get Emily to track practice only to have to go to Saturday class at eight. Josh was usually out cold when Riku had to wake up and if by random, off chance he was awake, he was hardly coherent enough to get a decent conversation with, let alone anything other than a few grunts, a 'bye' and maybe if he was lucky, an 'I love you' from the younger teen. So, needless to say, Riku hated Saturdays. Once and a while he would have to work on that day as well but for the most part he was off, only because his class took up almost four hours of the day. Saturday also happened to be food shopping day while Emily and Josh were out of the apartment, that way, things could be stocked up with little remark from anyone about what had been gotten. Emily would complain about Josh's junk food and Josh would complain about Emily's health food then both younger teens would complain together about Riku's special diet foods. Damn his sugar allergy.
Hopping out of his cab, Riku gave the driver his pay and tip, taking care to scoop up his little duffel bag, wanting to keep it level. He had thought to surprise Josh today for their meeting with a picnic dinner, snack... Thing. Seeing as how they were meeting in the Japanese Tea Garden, Riku had made some vegetarian sushi for them to share and gotten some Yukimi Daifuku, which was keeping cool in it's own little box away from the thermos full of green tea. The perfect Japanese treat for the two to share on their private afternoon out together. The nineteen year old always looked forward to getting to spend his Saturday afternoons out with Josh, they were always such a special time after all. They would go to movies, a museum, parks, anywhere really they could think up to go. Though... The Tea Garden was their favorite place to go together and it never did seem to get old. It was always different every time they went anyway so it made it worthwhile to go at least once a month.
Coming to the main gate, Riku picked up his pace a bit, glad to see Josh there waiting for him. Making sure to get closer while the younger was playing with his camera, the taller of the two slipped to stand behind Josh, crouching down so he could rest his head on the other male's shoulder. ''Hey stranger... Get any good pictures yet?'' Setting the bag down on the grass beside him, Riku pulled Josh back into his arms, in desperate need of a hug. The younger had been home while Riku had been out food shopping and he felt stupid for having missed him, though, he managed to keep the picnic treat a surprise that way but still... He missed Josh around a lot. What with Josh still in school and he himself working and taking freakishly advanced college courses, they didn't get to see each other all that much and when they did, it was to go to bed and by then they'd be too tired to do much more than collapse onto one another and pass right out. The times they had 'them time' was wonderful, hence why Saturday afternoons were so precious to the two teens. It was even better when Emily would spend the weekend at a friend's, Josh was off work and Riku had no class. Little slice of heaven that was.
Turning his head to the side a bit, the taller brushed his lips against the edge of Josh's ear, tightening his arms around him slightly, just enjoying holding him close. Riku's favourite thing in the world was a cuddle session on the couch, curled up in Josh's arms, some music or the tv on in the background to drown out the city sounds around them, keeping them in their own little world for a little while. Long and slender pale fingers scratched at the front of the teen's chest before giving Josh's ear a gentle nip, a sign that he wanted to get moving, lest he fall asleep right there at the gate and their picnic go to waste. Not that Josh knew he had a picnic in his near future... ''You're too warm... Get cold or something then I won't hold onto you all the time and fall asleep...'' Josh would have to be the one to break the older's hold, Riku wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. He was much to comfortable in his awkward crouch-sitting-hug position. Letting his head rest on the other's shoulder, Riku allowed himself a mini catnap until Josh pried him off, his oddly flat hair falling over the younger's shoulder, not poking his face like it usually would in this same position.

Joshua always tried to wake up on Saturdays early. Because he did know that Kuu had to get up at like 5 just so that he could get Emily off to track. Josh sometimes would take her instead just so that Kuu could sleep in a little bit longer on Saturdays, normally that being about once a month. Josh worked every Saturday normally by 9 so it wasn’t an incredibly big deal for him, he just had issues with waking up so it didn’t happen as often as he wished he could. He did try and wake up though to at least say good bye before kuu went off, even if he was barely awake. He knew it definitely probably didn’t put him into a great mood on Saturdays mornings but he always made sure to make up for it in the afternoons, especially since he had several coffee’s already and was definitely more awake then in the morning. Before Josh got to see Kuu again in the afternoon he basically worked and if he had a chance he would go home, shower and then get changed into a different pair of clothes. He always felt pretty gross after work, he working as a waiter actually. And even though they didn’t make that much wage wise he tended to score a lot of tips, just for the fact that he was pretty. Well he had come to actually thinking that lately, and it had boosted his confidence a bit more. Not that he wasn’t confident before or anything. He didn’t really like his job actually, but the tips helped, and even though he didn’t exactly need the money with having his inheritance and everything he found it was a lot better then waiting around for kuu all the time and everything.
Joshua hadn’t been expecting him to bring anything. Actually Josh was completely content with even walking around with him, as long as he was actually with him alone for the once a week time that they normally only got unless Emily was out with friends or something which did happen but then they would each have something else to do. Joshua actually was still sort of fiddling with his camera. He did that a lot when he was starting to get antsy with waiting. Which did happen from time to time. Especially since he was always excited for Saturday afternoons. He wished he had thought of staying at home for a little longer and doing a bit of his homework and waiting for kuu there. That way he could have caught him as he came in from food shopping instead. If Emily was there as well of course it would lead to some bickering about the food but then what did you expect in a household for there to be no bickering at all. If he ever entered a house that was like that he would definitely think that there was something messed up about it. There was never no perfect household, where there was no fighting or anything. At least he didn’t think so. Then again he came from a family who had arguments all the time, actually a lot of them had been about him and even now he would think they probably were. He always got a lot of blame put it n him yet he still always did what he needed to like babysitting the twins and things like that. He did miss his family slightly even now but he still thought he was getting by quite well considering.
Joshua really didn’t pay much attention for when he was looking at pictures and stuff. Josh with a camera meant that he got distracted incredibly easily and he didn’t notice even if it was Riku walking up behind him like he just did. It wasn’t till he felt his arms go around him that he jumped slightly and snuggled in close to him glad of the warmth of the other teens body against his ‘no not really, just doing something to get time to pass I guess’ he said to kuu tilting his head slightly so that he could press his lips to the boys next for a moment before going to back to his normal position so that Kuu wouldn’t end up falling over or something of that sort, which he could definitely see happening. He wasn’t wearing a sweater or anything today surprisingly, only a light blue slightly dressy top and a pair of black skinny jeans. Normally Joshua didn’t leave the house without a hoodie on but he found it incredibly warm today. Joshua was glad that Kuu was finally here, coming here was definitely one of his favourite things to do but he still found that anything they did with each other was nice. They both looked forward to doing whatever they planned for that day, at least if one of them wasn’t working while the other was off. He didn’t like that kuu worked quite a bit and still did hard college courses and everything as well. Because that also meant even less time between the two, which really he found the time dwindling down more and more. It did suck actually, and he knew that by evening both of them were rather exhausted. So today when he arrived you definitely saw the smile on his face become a bit brighter and definitely you could see the cheerful smile on his face to anyone looking there way. Which was a few but Joshua had gotten used to the odd looks. They were always looked at as odd. Not that josh cared all that much.
Joshua shivered a bit at Kuu’s lips on his ear. He loved how much kuu freaked out when his lips even went close to kuu ears, but he did so more just because of that. Teasing him was definitely one of his favourite things to do. It made him laugh, the reactions that he did to some things that Josh would say or do. It was adorable in his opinion. Not that he would ever say that because he found that Kuu was one to object to stuff like that. Joshua and Kuu at night normally would just have there usual cuddle session, on the couch while watching tv of some sort or just listening tot eh music they had on. They always did act like much more of a mature couple then you realized, probably because Josh was always a bit more serious then most guys his age. You didn’t find many people as serious as him even though Kuu seemed to find ways to lighten his mood up and get him to just relax more. He never was able to do that when he hadn’t been together with kuu though. Joshua laughed ‘sorry love, ill try to become colder if that will help you out’ he said with a smile moving his fingers along his arm and lacing them through kuu’s fingers and kissing him cheek he untangled them so he was still holding his hands but was able to pull him up the height difference definitely noted now that they were both standing up. Looking up at him he only then noticed the bags that he had set down earlier ‘what are the bags for?’ he asked him looking down at them wondering if it was okay to look and see what was inside them. Though stood there only holding one of his hands now waiting for him to tell him what they were for. He was always quite curious, and definitely didn’t do well with surprises. He was a very impatient person, which he thought was the reason to Kuu always giving him small surprises. And then making him wait to see what they were.
