Full Name: Noel Spencer Gunnell
Age: Twenty-nine
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: Febuary 2, 1979
Group: Teacher
Year/Job: Teacher drama at UHS
Sexuality: Bisexual but married
APPEARANCE
Hair Color: Black though occasionally does have it high lighted
Eye Color: Blue
Ethnicity: British
Overall Appearance:
Hair
First thing most people would notice about Noel is his hair. Noel keeps his hair long, just past his shoulders and straight. The smooth, raven locks are styled in such a way that a few layers fall at his ears then along his lip line and just past his chin. He has fringe that is usually trimmed just above his eye brows and is usually equally as straight as the rest of his hair. From time to time, he has been known to change up the colour a bit by putting either highlights blond, red or even both at the same time.
Eyes
Take a slight move down from the hair and you will notice Noel's striking blue-grey eyes. Ever since he had been an infant, Noel had been complemented on his bright, clear eyes, even earning a few dates thanks to those 'baby blues' when he was older. Their wide open shape is such that people often think he's an innocent person, when in fact he is not so innocent as well as being highly intelligent and not as vacant as most think. Once and a while, if working at the club or just trying to make his whole look fall together, Noel does wear eye make-up, varying his choices from a bit of eye-liner to full on shadow, mascara and the whole effect.
Face
Some can call Noel's over all facial features, exotic. First notice, whether he smiles or not, he has very strong and pronounced cheek bones that can be seen, even with his massive dimples when he smiles. Following along his jawline, it should be noted that while it is a very strong jaw, it's not angular and sharp like most would expect. Rather, Noel's jaw manages to remain smooth and rounded and not harsh and pointed. Noel always keeps himself clean shaven, finding the whole 'rugged' look is not for him and sometimes, even shaves before going to bed if he truly can not stand how much stubble has grown during the course of the day.
Nose
Odd is the usual word Noel hears about his nose. He has one of those long, thin noses that some people like to tease about, calling him 'snoz' ever since he was a child. Almost half way down, you can find a slight bump and widening of his nose, but as soon as you come to it, it's gone and the feature goes right back to being thin. Noel's nose ends in a little bit of a hook, not much to be too noticeable but it's still there, obvious when looking at his profile.
Mouth
Noel's teeth have always been an issue of insecurity for him. He has flat, very rectangular teeth that are all lined up nearly perfectly straight. The first thing he usually has to say when asked by people is 'No, I never had braces.' Compared to his teeth, his gums are relatively small, often hidden by his lips when he smiles. Noel suffers from the plight of having a very thin upper lip and a bottom lip that is nearly three times larger. He will pout or purse his lips to make them appear more even in size but does give up after trying for a minute or so.
Body
Athletic is a good word to use when referring to Noel's body. Growing up he played football (soccer for all those yanks out there) and a bit of rugby, getting him in good shape for his teens and adult life. In fact, when he wears his 'drain pipe' pants, people notice he's rather muscular in his thighs and calves. He's not one to have those 'washboard abs' but where he lacks a toned torso and chest, he makes up for in his over all upper body strength, which comes from his well sculpted arms, making it easy for him to lug most anything around and even pick people up nearly the same size as him.
Style
Noel's style is as ever changing as the weather. One day he'll be all decked out like a member of the 80's punk movement then the next day going for something a little disco fabulous complete with platform boots and sparkles. He does stick with a general style though for work, even if some of the other teachers find him a bit of an eyesore from time to time with his bright accessories. Noel favors skinny fit or 'drain pipe' style pants, teeshirts and a varying array of boots, he will rarely wear anything else on his feet. It should be noted, to Noel, it's all about the accessories.

Overall Personality:
Fast
No, not fast like fast on his feet. Noel is a very fast thinker, often coming up with comebacks and lines before he's even been insulted. As comedy is his first love, he grew to develop the ability to think on his feet through stand-up, always managing to shut down hecklers before they could even get more than a line in. Even in class, if one of his students is out of line, he can put them right back in there place without the rest of his class falling into shambles. Noel takes pride in his speed and will sometimes boast about it to those he's close with, earning himself a few good knocks on the head.
Sharp Tongued
One should make note, never make Noel angry, frustrated or dare try his patience. He's a very warm person but if you cross him, be ready to have your ego beaten down and your pride ground down into the dirt. Noel isn't afraid to use words, not brawn to take down those he does not like and has grown very capable of holding his own. Being British, Noel can use a whole new array of words, often times, causing whomever he's attacking to grow tired and confused quickly, leading to an early verbal war victory. Being sharp tongued is another ability that comes in handy in the classroom.
Forward Thinking
Noel is always ahead of the game, moving before the crowd. He's on top of things before everyone else can even register that there's come a new fad, a hot new band or a new, amazing getaway. Never one to be a follower, Noel is known to pick out things that will be in style the next week but by then, he's already moved onto the next big thing. Even when he was in school, he would always be able to tell others what was going to be the next trend, even if no one paid him any mind and just brushed his minor fashion and music rants as rubbish.
Open Minded
Free and tolerant is a great way to describe how Noel looks at life. He's accepting of just about everyone and everything. You'd have to kill a bunch of innocent people, bomb half the world, hurt children or make horrid music to get on his bad list. Being open minded means, for Noel personally that is, that everyone deserves love and he isn't one of those guys who will hate someone based on who they love and is very known to be seen with a girl one day and next, he's entertaining male company. He likes to go to PRIDE parades, dress in an androgynous way and doesn't seem to take offense when called a girl like some would.
Relaxed
Going well with being open minded is the ability for Noel to be relaxed ninety-five percent of the time. The other five is when he's talking to his father and dealing with spiteful ex's of course. That's beside the point however. Noel takes everything in stride, letting silly things was right over him and turns to bounce back with his upbeat ways. He rarely gets tense, even when putting up with things that usually would freak anyone out, like a kitchen fire which Noel seems to have become well acquainted with during his single, live alone years. He'll just pull out the baking soda and fire extinguisher, put the fire out and go off to read his newest magazine.
Easy to Talk To
Have a problem? Come to Noel. Growing up, he didn't have anyone who would listen to him so he made it a point to always make time to listen to people and become more approachable. Even drunk, Noel is amazingly easy to just walk up to and chat with, even if he reaches out and shakes you a few times to make sure you're still there. He keeps himself available to his students as well if they ever need someone to sit there and listen to them rant about their lives, Noel's found he can very easily relate to his students and the not being thirty thing helps him as well.
Optimistic
Life is bright, sunny, rainbows and unicorns crapping out puffy clouds of joy. A simple way to say this is, optimistic. The glass is always half full, it can only get better, things always happen for a reason. If Noel was anymore up beat, he might float off into space from his positive thinking. Rarely does anything rain on his happy parade, and if something does manage to kick him down, he'll spend his day pouting and moping about until he goes to bed, waking up the next morning being his usual upbeat self.

Overall History:
The Beginning
James Gunnell had just turned thirty, his wife only twenty three at the time their first child was born. Noel Spencer Gunnell was born on February 2nd 1981, kicking and screaming the entire time he spent at the hospital. Childhood was spent home schooled in a lovely home in one of the most respectable neighborhoods in London. Noel was getting into trouble most shortly after his brother was born around the age of three, always seeking attention and affection he used to receive and now his 'little twerp brother' got everything he had once had for himself. It was also around this time that little Noel started to take it upon himself to start writing out little comedy routine he would try out on his nanny before attempting to try his jokes on his parents.
Schooling
By the time Noel was old enough to start middle school, he was sent off to an all boys boarding school in the English countryside. It was hell on Earth from day one. All the other boys would tease Noel for his looks, telling him that he had been sent to the wrong school, his parents should have sent him to the sister school for girls. He brushed it off for the most part, taking some of his new, peer inflicted pain and putting together new comedy bits. Every year the school would have a minor talent show for the boys, the sister school would join in and attend as well. Each year that Noel entered, he would win. There was never any sort of contest. From the moment he would step out onto the make-shift stage there would bee cheering that wouldn't stop until the next act came out onto the stage.
Miranda
Noel's last year at boarding school and fresh from his final talent show win, he met a girl from the sister school. Miranda Beckford. She had been Noel's first everything. First girlfriend, kiss, love, the whole deal. Unfortunately for Noel, he was not her first for anything, though he didn't seem to let that get to him as much as he thought it would. The last day of summer holiday, Miranda called Noel, informed him she was with child, he was the father, hung up on him and never called back. Shortly before his eighteenth birthday, Noel became a father of a child he would only see four times in his life. Oddly enough, it left a hole in his heart, knowing he had a daughter and never getting to be a part of her life.
University
After the news of being a father to be, Noel was whisked right off to university to continue his education. It was however, not what he wanted to do. Noel didn't want to go and get a degree in broadcasting or communications he wanted to go into literature or drama. All his professors informed his parents of their eldest son's obvious ability in acting and comedy but they refused to acknowledge he had any talent. Comedy, in their minds, was a poor man's form of entertainment and should never be pursued as a career. Noel was supposed to get into the radio business, like his father, be a producer and make the family proud. Noel had other plans of course and dropped out of school just after the start of his sophomore year's second term.
Runaway
Taking everything he found dear, which turned out to be almost a full moving van full of things, Noel moved out of school, out of his parents' home and on his own. He only spent a few short months in England before moving again, only staying the time he did to get his passport updated and to make a bit of money to set out on his own and do his own thing. He went to Scotland at first, making a few friends there, working on his comedy and being a shop keep at a silly little tourist shop. From there he went to Ireland, followed by a round-about trip to France and Spain, learning about the different cultures, putting everything he was leaning into his new acts.
Stand-Up
Three years spent traveling on his own and Noel was ready for his very first, headlining solo, stand-up gig. He had gone back to his native London for his gig, his younger brother Michael actually being the first person in line to get a pair of tickets to see his big brother up on stage, doing what he did best. The show went over without a hitch and Noel was the talk of the city for weeks. He gained a few stints on a comedy radio program while he worked yet again on saving up to move onto the next big thing. Noel was only in London a year when he thought it time to move on once again. It would be noted that while Michael was at every stage show and listened to ever radio program Noel was in, never once did his parents show a drop of interest and attend a show or tune their station to hear their eldest on the radio.
America
Shinning city lights, fast life and more people than Noel had ever seen before waited for him in his new country. Immigration had been a nightmare and the crowds didn't always understand where he was coming from with his jokes. But in time, he won everyone over on the East Coast, moving on through the Midwest to the West Coast. He found himself most comfortable in Northern California, finally settling down there after searching for his perfect home for a month. His first job came not as a comic, but as a club DJ, a second passion in Noel's life which he took up with great enthusiasm. After being seen for his acting and comedic talent, he was asked by the headmaster of UHS to be the new drama teacher, hoping to get more students interested in the school's program. Noel took the job without a second though and grew very comfortable, very quickly in his new profession.
Love
As a bit of a flirt, Noel always seemed to attract attention from teachers, fans and students, not always the sort of attention he wanted either. While one of his best friends in America happened to be a student, Riku Hewett, he would soon find the person he couldn't live without as a student as well. Jakie Lansing hadn't wanted to take drama, but after being pushed into it by Riku he met Noel even before class started. They seemed to grow close very quickly and before they knew it, both Jakie and Noel found themselves needing to be with one another. After some carefully planned sneaking around and frustration, the two went to Montreal for a weekend over Jakie's senior spring break and there they eloped and were married. Back in the states, they still had to keep things under wraps since they were still teacher and student but come graduation everything was out in the open. Jakie moved in and they started to live together like a normal married couple. Just a few short weeks after Jakie moved in Noel was off to the food store when who should be on the front step of his town house but Sophie. Her mother had gotten married and the new man in her life didn't want anything to do with the newly turned eleven year old. So Sophie was shipped off to the states and Noel took her in right away, happy to have his new little family. Now all he wants to do is keep them both happy and continue his teaching and preforming.
