and i, all that i wanted was to walk you home save a sad song for the sing-along Blackened. That was the condition of Stevey's fingers at this moment in time and slowly it was going to be the condition of her lungs. While she wasn't a hardcore smoker, she probably smoked enough that she would eventually end up with her lungs filled with tar. She was sitting in school yes, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to smoke. The teacher that had let her into the school wasn't around right now and she saw no reason to try to abide by any sort of rule. She'd taken refuge on the side of one of the windows sure to open it up enough for the smoke to filter out. Perhaps with her current outfit sitting on a window wasn't such a good idea, but it wasn't like Stevey really cared. If somebody wanted to look up her bright purple tutu then they could go for it, it wasn't like it would be something new to her. Despite looking at the oddly dressed girl, she was a little bit more sexually active then most people would imagine. Her fingers blackened by charcoal from the drawing she'd been working on gripped onto the white stick bringing it to her lips as she inhaled slowly.
It wasn't everyday that Stevey could be found hanging out in the school so late. Sure she stayed around most days to meet up with her friends, but not today. Instead she'd wanted to stay and let her friends go off ahead of her so she could put a few more finishing touches on a drawing she'd been working on throughout the week. Now the drawing sat lonely on the table that she'd been at only moments before. The urge for a cigarette had overtaken her and now she had given up on the work she'd once been doing. Instead her big green blue eyes were gazing through the clear glass of the window looking at the scene before the schoolyard. There wasn't anything that was really all that interesting out there, but it was still better then looking at the gross coloring of the school walls. That was enough to make her almost sick and want to start painting them with an assortment of colors that was at her disposal at this moment in time.
Nobody was really around the schoolyard. In her whole two minutes of sitting at the window she'd seen one kid running around the yard, but it was one of those strange kids that were always off doing their own random little things. Stevey might be considered to be one of those people, but in her own mind she wasn't, she was just Stevey, the girl with bright pink hair that was sitting on the window smoking. A small sigh left her lips as she crossed her fishnet covered legs with green and white knee high stripped socks in front of her. That was one of the greatest things about being so small. She seemed to be able to fit in the oddest of places and find herself comfortable. She only stood just over five foot and had a small build on top of that. One of her black covered fingers moved up to her cheek and she scratched it. Her pale skin was blackened a little bit, but she didn't mind. It was a look she was used to and she'd take care of it before going anywhere.
Her almost vacant stare slowly turned from the world outside as she tapped her ashes out onto the ground and looked at the table she was supposed to be sitting at. From there she looked at the door as though willing the teacher to walk in to grab something that she forgot and find her sitting there smoking on school grounds. Not only was she too young to even be thinking about smoking, but it was illegal to smoke on the school grounds. She wasn't the only one that broke this rule though. During the entire school day she witnessed people moving to the back to smoke, a good amount of the time she was joining them in their trips to the back though mostly to hang out with the friends that she had made. A smoke filled sigh left her lips as she shifted around a bit putting the cigarette to her lips once more. She inhaled lightly before leaning her head back against her back support of the side of the window.

Joshua was normally never found at school once the final bell rang and he was able to go home. Actually he was never found there before school was just starting either. Josh liked school, it was just he liked being home and with kuu much more then school. School could provide the excitement, the happiness or anything that Joshua felt around Riku. Maybe if he carried around riku the entire day at school he would stay later or something but he didn’t get to see him all day so it wasn’t something he liked doing, being here afterwards. But today was one of those special occurrences where you saw him at school after school hours and most people had gone elsewhere. This was because first of all Emily had track and he didn’t have to go get her for another hour, second off riku was working once he finished his college that day and plus he had some photography stuff that he had to work on and was just finishing up taking some pictures. Not that he probably didn’t have enough. Joshua was always an over achiever when it came to photography because that was what he liked to do most and was always taking pictures, most of them turning out fairly well as well but still it was what you would always see him doing. And his pictures were always interesting just because they had that certain appeal to them that anyone could understand. A lot of people asked him if he had a certain thing he liked taking pictures of but really even now he wasn’t able to answer it, he was always just finding something interesting and taking pictures of that subject.
Making his way up the stairs towards the art department he could hear his footsteps as he went up, sounding lonely and soft clearly noticeable tat he was the only one in the stair well. Actually he doubted there were many teachers left even in the building except for the few that were trying to catch up on marking or something so they were staying behind. He always found that it was normally by the end of the year that teachers were found staying later and later in the day because they had to get marks in for finals and everything and he always wondered why they left it to the last minute. If they didn’t they probably wouldn’t be staying so late all the time but he would probably be horrible like that as well. Since he was always rushing off to do something instead of what he should be doing. Though today he did stay on task and got al the pictures he needed. He would just fix them up slightly and all when he got home on his lab top. He didn’t need to stay much longer anyways. But he did want to see if there was possibly anyone around. He thought while he was outside in the yard he had caught a glimpse of someone coming inside the building so surprisingly as much as he was an antisocial freak he was interested to see who it was that was crazy enough to still be here like him.
Joshua had left his bag in the art room anyways, tucked away in a corner where most people wouldn’t notice unless they were actually looking for his bag. Whatever reason that may be he didn’t know. It wasn’t like he kept a wad of cash on him or anything, and most of it was tucked away in a savings account that they only took out of if they needed the money. Or if they wanted to get Emily something special or something like that. Other then that he had nothing in there except school books. He had is back of smokes safely tucked in one of the pockets of his jacket that he was wearing and his wallet and car keys in the other pocket. Which made a bit of a jingling noise whenever he walked up the stairs. As he opened the doors to the second level he turned the corner and opened up the door of the art room quietly., he smelled the smoke before even completely walking in so wasn’t surprised to see a petite girl sitting near the window looking around. He had seen her around quite a few times, seeing as especially lately she seemed to be in the art room and he was around this area a lot. And who could forget someone with such bright colors in there hair as this girl. He liked it though it stood out which was definitely a good thing in his opinion. He was surprised he hadn’t actually thought of talking to her sooner but he wasn’t one that normally would make friends with people so easily. But having an hour still to spare and didn’t see the point in going home to just have to go back out again he parked himself upon a desk taking out a smoke of his own and lighting it.
For some reason, as much as he tried to quite, whenever he was around someone else that was smoking he just ended up smoking as well, and living with a smoker definitely didn’t help so he sort of for now anyways had given up on the whole not smoking thing. He knew if anyone would walk in they could easily tel that both of them had been smoking but Joshua would take a suspension any day over being here every day. As much as he didn’t skip as much as he used to or anything. Plus having a smoke was much more important then abiding by the school rules ‘how long have you been working on this?’ he asked indicating the drawing that was laid out there. It was quite incredible in his opinion but this was also because he was more of someone who took pictures and she seemed to be more of a drawer. Joshua was very simplistic when it came to conversation starters and it actually took a bit for a person to get him to talk more then one small sentence at a time. He didn’t like saying a whole lot unless joking around or something. He found when he tried to say something more he always ended up interrupting someone so he just kept to short and quick sentences but that still led to it being a conversation and not being a dud. Blowing out a stream of smoke he held the smoke between his lips as he looked at her drawing. A lot of stuff to do with art was always what caught his attention, which was probably one of the first reasons as to why he started a conversation with her, that and her hair. Both he found charming parts about her even though he knew nothing of her yet.

and i, all that i wanted was to walk you home save a sad song for the sing-along The drawing sitting on the table really wouldn't seem too elaborate from that far away, but anybody that knew how much Stevey had been working on it would expect it to be one of the most insane things that they'd ever seen. It was a face. It was Patrick's face actually, Patrick being one of her fathers of course. From far away it seemed like just a stunning sort of picture, but up close it could be seen that the lines were all words. They were drawn rather small making it look like a broken up line from far away, but it was words if you got close enough. The entire concept came to her when she was high one night and written it down. The actual execution was much harder then she'd expected. When it came to art she did all sorts. She painted a bit, she drew, and she took pictures as well. Really she just loved all sorts of visual art. She believed it was her calling in life, except maybe to do piercings for people, but that could always be a side job.
As another line of smoke left her lips, Stevey turned towards the door. Somebody had just opened it up. In the end she couldn't help but to be a little bit let down by the presence of a guy that she'd seen around the school. It wasn't that she wasn't happy to see somebody because meeting new people was something she always loved to do, but she had been hoping it would be the teacher. Maybe it was just the chance to end up getting suspended or expelled that was driving her, but either way she felt herself frown a bit before turning to the window and tapping the ashes out. She hoped the boy didn't notice the frown of course. The last thing that she wanted was to make him believe she didn't want him around because company would probably be a huge help right now. It would give her some reason to not be finishing the drawing other then just not wanting to finish up the shading. The shading that had been haunting her all through the week.
When the boy pulled out a cigarette too, she smiled a little bit. It was a good sign since it meant he wasn't about to tell on her. "A little over a week," she said glancing down at the drawing sitting on the table nearby her. Her free hand moved to the back of her hair and she messed it up absentmindedly as she looked up to the boy once more. "It's been a fucking pain in the ass, but I'm almost done," she said putting the cigarette to her lips once again and inhaling the sweet tasting smoke before grinning slightly. She remembered seeing this boy around a few times. She was sure he was usually doing something with photography. She'd seen him leaving the dark room when she'd be going in for a minute to work on one of those pictures she'd been fooling around with. They hadn't talked before though. Stevey was usually too out of it to notice and well, they hadn't really been forced alone before this moment in time.
Stevey shifted from her perch on the window and landed on the floor. She smoothed down the purple skirt a little bit and walked over to look down at the drawing before her. Cocking her head to the side a bit she picked up the pencil she'd left next to it and put it to the hand adding a bit of shadow and shaking her head. "It's a bit of a pain really. But I think it's turning out good."
